There aren’t many games that deal with LGBTQ friendly content, but Gambit Games‘ “A Closed World” takes it on full-scale. One simple, serious question starts the game: Are you Male or Female? You start the game by selecting one, and encounter your avatar in a forest–your avatar must then take on other individuals who challenge your composure, confidence, and identity. First stop: your father. In the battle against your non-believers, you have three weapons: Logic, Passion, and Ethics, and must identify which of the three your adversary is coming from, and which of your weapons works best to dispel it. “The result is a game that asks us to carefully consider what we think of as “normal,” and what is needed to live in the world and be true to one’s self.” (quoted from the MIT Gambit Games “A Closed World” homepage).
